Brene Brown taught us the helpful phrase, “The story I’m telling myself is…” How you can think with God about that story and hear from God’s point of view in the narrative. This practice is easy to do on a daily basis and helps us get unstuck from past interpretations allowing us to become present. What is real is that you are alive and present now and God is with you. Let God un-stick you from the story you are telling yourself from the past.

This tool is helpful for getting past limitations and old ways of thinking. Sometimes we feel like we are imprisoned but you and I were designed to flow like a river. Full of life and freedom. If you feel limited, it’s likely true and it’s because of limiting thoughts. Connection with God unlocks us from our boxes.

If we slow this process down, we regain the power of our choices. Ask God to help you see, interpret and give you ideas for how to move/act in a way that is life-giving.
